2 days before Christmas 1987 was a day on which luck met Eric Mattheeuws & Beatrice. With a daughter, Céline Mattheeuws, born 21 April 1983, the ambitious couple venture on a path to the challenge of their lives in Veurne. With the help of friendly carriers and their experience, the couple start “Romac International” in 1988 and they buy land in Veurne.

It set the ball rolling and later in 1988, they start the Customs Office “Bulmac” and in 1989 Eric Mattheeuws transport '. On January 4, 1989, the second daughter, Charlotte Mattheeuws is born.

Céline Mattheeuws, the oldest daughter, has an MBA degree in International Business at the European University. She decides to step into the family business in her 24th year . She currently focuses on the logistics section particularly the Deep Sea Forwarding and managing the scrapyard.
In 2011 she marries Mathieu Vander Paelt. Since the company Eric Mattheeuws transport took over transport Denecker, a fixture in the cement transport, in 2012, this was the absolute challenge for son-in-law, Mathieu Vander Paelt. Family Mattheeuws is already satisfied with the arrival of their son-in-law Mathieu and they have confidence in him for leading transport Denecker. The youngest daughter Charlotte Mattheeuws achieves a master of Business Administration – Finance in Ghent. A hard-working businessman with an eye for detail and challenge. Eric and his wife Beatrice employ today over 200 people in different companies, in different sectors. Now-a-days, the follow-up guaranteed with the entry of both daughters and their son-in-law. The family also believes that employees are a reflection of themselves, the success is also thanks to them. On 26 March 2014 Eric Mattheeuws got a car accident as a result of heart failure. The family realizes all the more how attached they are to each other and how much luck they have to still be able to continue to work side by side.
